Fountains OCS - Vegetation Management

Dovetail Group UK maintain vegetation long 100 miles of canal network.
  • Fountains (OCS) - Birmingham Canal Navigations, Vegetation Management
  • Framework Agreement - Approx. £1,000,0000 per annum.

    The Birmingham Canal Navigations is one of the most intricate canal networks in the world. The hub of the BCN is the bustling city centre junction at Gas Street Basin. The basin is in the heart of Birmingham’s cosmopolitan nightlife and shopping districts. The mainlines and city centre canals are busy with boaters, walkers and cyclists.

    Elsewhere on the BCN, you can really get away from it all on winding suburban canals and some surprisingly rural branches. In the northern waters of the BCN, there are some rarely explored waterways that are truly off the beaten track. The canals were the lifeblood of Victorian Birmingham and the Black Country.

    Over the last 4 Years, Dovetail Environmental Services Division has acted as a main contractor for Fountains (OCS), maintaining vegetation long 100 miles of canal network. We currently operate up to 8 Vegetation Management crews out daily, delivering the following seasonal services;
  • ‏‏‎ ‎
    • Grass Cutting
    • Hedge Cutting
    • Offside Vegetation Removal
    • Invasive Species Management
    • Vegetation Clearances

    Now our flag-ship environmental contract, we are expanding the scope of services, and the regions we deliver them, branching out into the East Midlands & South Network due to the excellent work from our specialist teams over the years.
