Hedge and Tree Clearance
Hedges and overhanging branches were trimmed back by 0.5 to 1 metre along the path’s edge, creating a safer, more open route for all users. -
Efficient Use of Equipment
With the help of a chipper and flail mower, we managed the cuttings effectively. Most were mulched and reintegrated into the hedge line, supporting the natural ecosystem. -
Special Attention to Dense Vegetation
One particularly dense 10-metre section required offsite removal, ensuring the path remains unobstructed and fully accessible.

This maintenance approach not only opens up the towpath for easier access but also nurtures the surrounding environment. By returning chipped materials to the hedge line, we’re encouraging sustainable growth and natural rejuvenation.
